About Us

Our story
Founded by the Saar family, in Melbourne, Australia, Malt & Brew is operated by father and son duo, Yftach and Thomas. What began as a small project during the COVID-19 lockdowns of 2020 quickly developed into the business you see today, with unique glasses and barware accessories sent to thousands of homes across Australia.
After the family home quickly became overrun with boxes of glassware (bedrooms converted into storage units, the living room a wrapping hub), it was decided that Malt & Brew needed to take decisive action to counter the ever-increasing numbers, spread its wings and move out of home. So to the displeasure of some household members, a beautiful green shipping container was placed in the front garden. Thankfully it was a temporary solution that was to last less than 6 months, when the first warehouse was rented in Hallam, Victoria.
Now established in Hallam, and utilising the amazing storage capabilities of pallet racking (not commonly found in residential homes and gardens), Malt & Brew has quickly grown into one of Australia’s most well-known whisky glass and alcohol accessory brands.
Malt & Brew has supplied glassware to Mitsubishi, Volvo Trucks, Dan Murphys, Boss Hunting, GQ, Vogue Australia, and many more Australian and international brands.

Glasses with Personality.
Whisky lovers know that it can be hard to find the right glass. Rather than repeating the same, tired designs, our glasses have something to say. A glass with style is the only way to do justice to a good drink.
Manufacturing process
Malt & Brew prides itself on being a brand that values quality over quantity. We understand that the success of a glassware brand is highly dependent on the quality of its products, and therefore, we have taken great care to ensure that all our manufacturing is done in small-scale batches.
China, our manufacturing country, has a rich history of glassblowing, dating back over 2,000 years. The country's artisans have been honing their craft for centuries, passing down their skills and knowledge from one generation to the next.
We recognise the value of this tradition and have made a conscious decision to work with these skilled artisans. By maintaining a strong relationship with our glassblowers, we can tap into their knowledge and expertise, ensuring that each product is crafted with the utmost care and attention to detail.
Though some of our products require specific machinery to be possible, it is used in moderation and only in circumstances where the final product can be refined.
